OF LAS VEGAS

After 13 stops, a stinky old man who spoke to himself, little traffic (an understatement), little air conditioning, and no water, they arrived in Las Vegas. The bus station was located in downtown "old" Las Vegas, so we got to see the outside of many classic casinos like Circus Circus, Golden Nugget, The Mirage, and Flamingo.

They stayed at Stephanie's (Joe's sister) house playing computer games and watching television-relaxing. They also went swimming a lot, since the weather was gorgeous and the water was warm. The Las Vegas Strip was also something they wouldn't miss. Free parking, elaborate hotels, and lots to see and do were all part of the Las Vegas experience.

On their way to Las Vegas the second time, using Buddy's car, they started to smell a sulfur (rotten eggs) stench from the motor. Joe wanted to stop at Hoover Dam, but Buddy insisted that they get to Steph's house. They arrived a block from her house to make a phone call and stopped the car to take a look at the engine. Unfortunately, the car would not restart. Needless to say, a third tow truck was used on this trip. Maybe Pep Boys could help.

After returning, they had to go back to the Strip to get souvenirs and bid one farewell to Caesar's Palace, which happened to be their favorite spot.

"Thank you Stephanie and Tim for letting us stay there."
